What I do...

People tell me I have a pretty interesting job and I have to agree. No day is the same and each day brings a different adventure to the table. Outside of my family, photography is my biggest passion in life and working as a photographer has allowed me the opportunity to do what I love every single day, which I am hugely grateful for. I love creating memories for people from the happiest moments in their lives.

I’m a fairly laid back and easy going person so no matter what I am photographing, my aim is always to have fun with people and let them be themselves. The pictures come naturally once this is happening.

My Journey...

I can’t remember a time when a camera was far away from me. When I finished school, I was fortunate to have a cousin who is also a photographer and he had just started his own photography company. It didn’t take me long to realise photography is exactly what I was supposed to be doing also. Within a year I had finished a Complete Course in Professional Photography with The New York Institute of Photography and I joined his company as an assistant. Over a decade later with so many happy memories working and growing up with the company, I realised it was finally time for me to start another chapter in my photography journey by setting up Trevor O’Donoghue Photography. I’ve been blow away by the response and I’d like to thank everybody who helped me out along the way.

Hobbies...

I love the outdoors and all types of outdoor activities but I particularly love trail running and hiking. I’m so lucky to be living in one of the most beautiful towns in the world, Killarney. We have so many amazing locations and spectacular views right on our doorstep. To me there is little better than a long hike to a cool place to get some snaps.
